Forms and Information: 2006 KMHI ANNUAL CONFERENCE & GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING Almost 150 industry people attended the KMHI 2006 Annual Conference in Louisville, July 26-28. This year, more retailer members attended by taking advantage of the lower registration fees and the manufacturers and service/supplier member firms strongly supported the conference by contributing almost $11,000 in sponsorships. Every membership category was well represented at the conference. This was KMHI’s largest annual conference attendance in recent years. Comments and written evaluations from members indicate that the conference was enjoyed by all and that it provided meaningful programs, training sessions and networking opportunities during the social and meal activities. Service/suppliers and manufacturers benefited by having a larger number of retailers attend this year. Maybe the increase in retailer attendance was due to the very low-registration fee of $50.00. Even though the directors approved the conference budget at a substantial deficit, it apparently drew more attendance. Many thanks to the 2006 Conference sponsors for their generous contributions to the conference. Without the sponsorships, KMHI could not have provided the great events, food, drinks and door prizes. Twenty (20) manufacturers and service/supplier members contributed $10,800.00, surpassing last year’s sponsorship by almost $2,000.00. KMHI is greatly appreciative of the 2006 conference sponsors and urges the membership to acknowledge their contributions by thanking the sponsors and utilizing their services and products. KMHI

Additional lists are available to members ONLY free of charge, and may be obtained by contacting the KMHI office.
